College Yoga
Classes designed for stress relief from the pressure of the work load, postural yoga for spine dysfunctions caused by bad posture, back care practice.

Yoga for the staff and fellows
These classes aim to provide a unique space where burdens lift as one steps onto the mat, where worries dissolve and the present moment unfolds. Rooms are always adequately heated and have a pleasant outlook. Sometimes we can practice in specially beautiful rooms rich in history and character where participants start to unwind setting a special ritual in the the week that they look forward to.
What makes these yoga sessions truly special is their ability to bring together individuals from different roles and departments who may not otherwise have the chance to meet. In the serene space of these beautiful rooms in the collective practice of yoga where we breathe and move together, titles and positions fade away, replaced by a sense of shared humanity and connection.

Yoga in the ancient rooms of the colleges
Colleges in Cambridge often have wonderful spaces also very suitable for yoga. Ancient Libraries, halls, and chapels, here we practice the wisdom of postural yoga, unraveling the knots of discomfort coming from hours spent hunched over desks and screens, exploring the labyrinth of our bodies with curiosity and compassion.
It’s a chance to step away from the computer screen, to stretch tight muscles, and to breathe deeply. But it’s also more than that, it’s a moment of quiet amidst the busyness of the week, a moment to reset and recharge. With each mindful movement, we reclaim the integrity of our spines, liberating ourselves from the problem of poor posture and restoring balance to body and soul.

Yoga for the Students: support for the mind and body wellbeing
Understanding your needs: My classes for the students are designed to offer a refuge from the hustle and bustle, providing a space to unwind, recharge, and find inner peace and yes, also have fun! I recognise the unique challenges you face: long hours of studying, the demand to excel, the rigorous schedules, and the social pressures can all take a toll on your physical, mental, and emotional health.
- Addressing Stress and Anxiety: The academic environment can be intense, leading to stress, anxiety, insomnia, and burnout. Through the practice of yoga, you’ll learn tools to manage stress effectively, cultivate resilience, and enhance your overall mental well-being. An energetic practice, restorative poses, and breathing techniques are powerful antidotes to the pressures you may encounter.
- Creating Community and Support: In the busy and demanding world of academia, it’s easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed. My yoga classes provide a sense of community and belonging, where you can connect with like-minded students who share similar challenges and aspirations. You will feel always welcome in a supportive environment where you can explore your practice, ask questions, receive guidance and make new friends!
